Brad Savage’ Cruisin’ the Decades 9-10 Sunday

Brad Savage was with 106.1 the Corner for many years here in Charlottesville. He is now with WAPS (TheSummit.FM) in Akron, Ohio as the Program Director. He recently started a new syndicated radio show called “Cruisin’ the Decades”. This show is pretty unique! it features on song from every decade for the last 100 years. Yep, that’s right! Brad has incredible music knowledge and a huge record collection to draw from and he has probably listened to every album that he has…twice!

We at 97.9 the WREN never want to turn anything cool, quirky or different down so when we learned about Brad’s new show, we had to put it on the air in Charlottesville. Tune in every Sunday morning from 9-10 AM for “Cruisin’ the Decades” with Brad Savage for an interesting listening experience. Then stay tuned for WREN’s “Mike & Murphy” show from 10-12 Noon!

General show info:

Cruisin’ The Decades is a one-of-a-kind 60-minute radio program focusing on over 100 years of recorded music, playing one song per decade from 1920 to today. Cruisin’ The Decades shines a spotlight on all genres of music, while focusing on the history, technology of recording, and evolution of popular music from yesterday to today.

Cruisin’ The Decades is hosted and curated by Brad Savage and produced at The Summit WAPS-FM in Akron, OH. Savage uses his deep knowledge of music, along with his vast experience and massive music library, to put together a show that is as informative and engaging as it is entertaining. It’s a show for true music lovers, by a true music lover!

Savage creates the show from a “AAA/Music Discovery” point of view, focusing on “wow factor” through original songs that listeners will recognize from their covers, forgotten tracks, collector “cult favorites,” and more. It’s a musical adventure — and appointment listening — each week.
